Testing Services

ALPHA has certified staff that can provide drug testing or DNA testing services for employers and individuals. Alcohol and Drug testing is available through urine, hair or saliva testing. These results are certified by lab professionals or for quick results for pre-employment, instant testing is also available. Testing can be completed for up to 10 different substances. Urine screening is recommended for testing recent use and hair screens are recommended for a history of use of 90 days all dependent upon the substance used and how the body metabolizes.
Drug testing may be needed for pre-employment, random employee testing, suspicion of use, return to duty after an accident, or personal use. Drug testing is sometimes mandated due to an investigation or legal action. The reason for testing will determine the type of test needed to ensure all requirements are met.
DNA testing is available through DNA Solutions to provide rapid and affordable DNA relationship testing, providing legally binding, confidential, and conclusive results. DNA relationship testing not only can include paternity and maternity, but may also include grandparents and sibling relationships. A DNA test can assist in immigration, adoption, child support, and probate cases. Results provide peace of mind, confidence, assurance, privacy, and the truth. Up to 4 individuals can be tested with an average of a 3 day turn around for results.
In addition to testing, ALPHA can assist employers seeking assistance to provide a Drug-Free Workplace. A drug-free workplace program aims to create a work environment where the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of controlled substances is strictly prohibited. The program promotes safety, productivity, and employee well-being. ALPHA can provide assistance in implementation of policies and procedures, education and support to meet state and federal requirements, and support in maintaining records for compliance.

Saliva alcohol screening detects the presence of alcohol in saliva which is comparable to that of blood alcohol concentration. Screening is conducted using testing strips that change color according to the level of alcohol. They can be completed quickly and are cost effective.

Confidentiality & CARF Accredidation

All services are considered confidential and are protected by federal law (42 CFR Part 2) and the Health Insurance Portability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.  Due to Confidentiality regulations, all individuals must sign a release of information regarding their protected health status.  Clients and parents of clients under age 16 will also be asked to sign an acknowledgement that says they have received the privacy notice.
ALPHA Behavioral Health Center is a CARF Accredited institution.
